In March, 2007, McGregor GeoScience Limited was purchased by Superport Marine Services Limited of Port Hawkesbury, NS. The new ownership, while bringing an increased level of investment in the capabilities of McGregor has also provided access to a range of personnel and equipment resources that has served to expand our capabilities to our client base. McGregor can now boast access to dedicated survey vessels, the R/V Strait Signet and R/V Strait Explorer, shown below.
The R/V Strait Signet is an idealsurvey platform for conducting surveys in the 10-1000m water depth range, has an ice strengthened hull, full science lab and through hull portal for installation of survey sensors such as multibeam. The vessel has an excellent track record as a survey platform.
